News stories and blog items for major presidential candidates

Interesting to observe that Democratic presidential candidates get twice the blog mentions as the presumed Republican nominee. It's difficult to see any trends from the news-story data in this graph, but I have left these lines in the graph to (a) illustrate the vastness of blog-land, where there are 30 to 50 times as many blog references than news stories for each candidate, and (b) to provide a zero-base in the graph's vertical axis. There are no discernable trends here, reflecting the immortality of blog postings compared to the more transient pool of media reports.
