New developer portal

Greetings friends and neighbors. The folks here at team trendrr have been hard at work chefing up a steaming plate of developer goodness for you. We're rolling out a brand new developer portal where all you stat monkey tech heads can get your dose of trendrr documentation. We will also be publishing all the most current news about what's going on behind the digital curtain here at the trendrr labs.

This will be your one stop shop for stuff like our newly updated custom data api and our various syndication schema projects. We also figured it's hightime we give you guys a chance to let your voices be heard. So we setup a new developer forum (let the flamewars begin).

The portal is a work in progress and will be activly updated but feel free to jump in there and start getting into it. You can access the new portal at http://developer.trendrr.com.

please 2 enjoy yes?!

Python vs Ruby by way of Rails vs Django

This is a graph that I have been running for awhile now. I blogged it a few weeks back so it prob looks familiar (if any of you that have been paying attention lol).

Here is another graph that shows rails vs django (the two flagship frameworks for each language). As you can see the differential in the totals btw ruby vs python and django vs rails are pretty close but the interesting difference is that the trend line for django is climbing more aggressively.

Whatcha whatcha want?!

So far all the community feedback we have gotten about Trendrr has been really great. We appreciate the heads up on things that need fixing and ideas on how to better the system.

On that note this is an open call to all you trendaholics out there to speak up and let us know what kind of data you would like to be able to track. If you have ideas send them to feedback@trendrr.com and we will review them.

Please identify the particular stat you are interested in and give as much detail as possible about where the info lives (api, web page, outer space etc...).

The more ideas we can get from all of you the more we can tailor the site to what everyone wants. Again thanks for all your input to date and keep on graphin :)

Open sesame

I'm happy to announce (as many of you prob already noticed) that we are finally allowing people to sign-up for accounts without invites. We were on the fence about whether or not to keep the velvet rope and clipboard thing going awhile longer but hey I know personally if I want to get into the club and you tell me NO I may never come back.

So now is your chance. Wake the kids, phone the neighbors and get on down to trendrr.com for so good old statistical lovin. Also any of you bitheads out there we would love to get some people working on apps that use the Trendrr API. If you write something smart be sure to let us know so we can talk it up.

Ruby VS Python

Here is a little graph that I did to track the ever popular Ruby vs Python debate. This shows how many posts they are being referenced in on Google Blogs.

it's alive!

In the immortal words of Dr. Frankenstein (or robot chicken for some of you)... IT'S ALIVE!

We are all really happy to have finally gotten something up for you guys to start to dig into. Currently the site is in a limited release beta program and most likely will remain in that state for sometime to come. Please be patient while we work through all the initial hiccups and tweaks. Eventually we will we open the flood gates to the masses so we can see what this baby can really do.

If your a beta tester you will have a link in your left menu to send us feedback. If not feel free to email us at feedback@trendrr.com and let us know what you think.

beta beta whos got my beta?!

So after many months of toiling, trendrr.com will soon be launching its friends and family beta program. This is a limited beta program by invite only to get a wider group of users to provide feedback.

All that being said we hope to be able to expand the beta soon to let all you curious strangers get your graph on.

Stay tuned!
