Despite the fact that Private Practice has over 6 times as many related news stories as Pushing Daisies and Dirty Sexy Money, Shonda Rhimes, the show's creator, has just as many related news stories as DSM's showrunner Greg Berlanti and Daisies' showrunner Bryan Fuller.

However, considering Rhimes also runs Grey's Anatomy and Berlanti also runs midseason replacement Eli Stone as well as once helmed and is still heavily invovled in Brothers and Sisters, one would think they would have significantly more press than Fuller, who hasn't run a show since 2004's short-lived (and ratings challenged) Wonderfalls.

ABC Freshman Shows That Have Been Picked Up For A Second Season
Private Practice, Pushing Daisies and Dirty Sexy Money are the only 3 hour-long skiens from ABC that recieved season 2 pick ups. However none of these shows will be returning this year and many believe they were essentially saved by the writer's strike as all 3 showed drew below-expected ratings during their stint on the air from September to December/January.

Not surprisingly the Grey's Anatomy spinoff had the most press heading into the fall season, however the drama was able to maintain this level of press throughout the year, generating 6 times as many related Google news stories as fellow frosh shows Dirty Sexy Money and Pushing Daisies.

AMC's Mad Men v. Breaking Bad
Despite the fact that Mad Men hasn't aired a new episode since August 2007, it's still significantly more blogged about than AMC's other original series Breaking Bad, which is currently in its first season airing new episodes Sunday nights.

So far in March 2008 Mad Men drew 4 times as many Google blog posts as Breaking Bad despite the Bryan Cranston led show is still airing new episodes. However since the show's pilot on 1/20, posts regarding Breaking Bad have steadily increased, trending upward at 8% while over the same time period posts regarding Mad Men have been more constant, rising just 3%.
